Project Quilting
Project Quilting is a challenge group, hosted by Kim Lapacek. Kim loved the concept of Project Runway’s finishing a challenge in a short amount of time so in 2010 she created Project Quilting, which posts a challenge theme and you have to complete the challenge in a certain amount of time. During the on-season (January through March) the projects have to be completed in a week. The first season (2010) I was traveling so I was a judge that year.

Project quilting - season 15 (2024)
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 14 (2023)
Why yes, there have been a lot of rainbow projects, thanks for noticing.
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 13 (2022)
Six challenges again this year. And another that was made between challenges that could have fit a challenge if the timing had worked out.
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 12 (2021)
I completed all 6 challenges this year, although two of the projects were ones that I made for myself (the pillows and the dandelions, which was a gift to my husband).
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 11 (2020)
I completed five challenges this year, although I did make two pieces for the second challenge (the dragon and the mermaid).
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 10 (2019)
I completed four challenges this year.
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 9 (2018)
I managed to get all six completed but again I focused on smaller items and framed art
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 8 (2017)
I realized that I have a lot of larger art quilts so I made an effort to make smaller art quilts and some framed pieces, although I was only able to complete four of the six challenges.
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 7 (2016)
I managed to complete five of the six challenges. It wasn't my favorite season but I still managed to try some new things
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 6 (2015)
As far as what I made for the challenges, this was my favorite year and I thought all of these were some of the best work I've done
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 5 (2014)
I was only able to finish five of the six challenges but again I tried some new things and while some worked better than others, overall I was pleased with how they turned out
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 4 (2013)
I was happy with the way all of these came out on some of them I tried out some new techniques, which is kind of the goal for the whole thing
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 3 (2012)
I only managed to complete five of the six projects but I did make Early Morning Nine Patch this year and that is not only one of my favorite quilts but also the one that's been the most profitable.
PROJECT QUILTING - SEASON 2 (2011)
The second season (2011) I was the overall winner, even though none of my quilts won first place individually (I had a lot of second places). Because it was a lot of work to have the judges who gave comments, this was the last year there were written comments and placing.
For Season 1 (2010), I was a judge, so I didn't make any projects that season.

PROJECT QUILTING - Off-SEASON challenges (various years)
I have participated in some of the various off-season challenges. Two of these required buying specific fabric to participate.
