This quilt was made for Project Quilting, season 6.6. The challenge was Isn't That Charming and we had to use fabric from a charm pack (5" squares).
Louie is a barn owl and a resident of the Glen Helen Raptor Center in Yellow Springs, Ohio. My friend Kate, who loves the Raptor Center, has the original Louie. The second Louie was made for an Island Batik challenge, The third Louie was made for Bette, who used to run the Raptor Center but wanted one that was tall instead of wide, and my friend Rachel who has also worked at Glen Helen has the fourth one. (#2-4 were all made with the Island Batik fabric because I didn't have any more of the charm pack fabric.) |
