This quilt was made for Project Quilting, season 7.2. The challenge was Seasons.

The bows on the main kite's tail were made by folding fabric and then tying them with knots and sewing them to the background. The smaller kite's tails are the quilting thread left loose.

I usually use a knife-face invisible binding for my art quilts but sometimes I do a traditional binding and I like to also couch yarn where the binding meets the quilt, for visual texture.
