This is a fabric mosaic. Tiny pieces of fabric are fused to a background, covered with tulle netting, then quilted together. Because it has three or more layers held together with stitches, it is a quilt. The sparkle you see in the photo is from the tulle.
I did some thread painting to blend the purple to the white and also make the yellow shape blurred and I discovered that I don't really like thread painting. |
