I made this quilt to honor Georgia O'Keeffe and the way she gave flowers importance by painting them really large.
I didn't have a piece of hand dyed fabric large enough for the background so I used four smaller pieces that end under the flowers. I was able to do this because the flowers and stems go right to the edge. I love how the hand dyed fabric looks. The photo shows High Line in New York City, Daybreak is Your Midnight, and Morning Glories for Georgia at the Winds Cafe. |
