This art was made for the Island Batik Planes, Trains, & Automobiles Blog Hop using the Desert Rose collection.

I did some free motion quilting with a variegated purple thread in the mountains and the larger the space got, the farther apart the quilting was spaced. I didn't really plan that, but I thought it worked so I kept going.

One of the clouds is a sheer fabric, and there is yarn couched at the tops of the mountains and around the sun.
