This is the first quilt I made as part of a challenge. This was for an Ugly Fabric challenge (someone else picked the ugly fabric, personally I've seen worse).

This is also the first quilt I couched yarn on. For this one I used a variegated thread and a zigzag stitch although now I usually use just a straight stitch. I used the yarn for the flower stems and also to add some visual texture to the solid border fabrics.

I named the quilt "Kiwi Flowers" because I used the kiwis from the print fabric as the flower centers.
