My favorite John Sebastian song is "Darling Be Home Soon" from when he was with the Lovin' Spoonful, but I love the lyrics from "Rainbows All Over Your Blues." 

The background fabric is a deep purple batik with rainbow ribbon couched on it then strips of a dark teal were machine raw edge appliqued and have a rainbow colored yarn couched on top, then came the dark blue squares, the light blue diamonds, the dark blue letters, and the sheer squares which are all sewn down with a rainbow variegated thread. There are even some bright blue bugle beads sewn on like raindrops.
