This piece is constructed with six quilted postcards (4" x 6") that I added sleeves to the back to put in antique thread spools. I made the first postcard (the purple one) and a few years later I made other postcards in the other rainbow colors.
A few years after that I put them all together with the spools. And then I sold it right away. It feels a little odd to have lived with this for several years when it was in parts but once it was whole it quickly moved to someone else. It was also featured in Art Quilting Studio Magazine's Autumn 2019 issue in their "Quilting the Odd & Unusual" section. |
