The members of the Miami Valley Art Quilt Network decided to work through some of the exercises in the "Art Quilt Workbook" by Jane Davila and Elin Waterston. The book suggests you pick a theme, color set and have all the finished quilts be the same size. I chose "Feathers" as my theme, and I learned a lot, especially about fusing fabric. Suddenly I didn't feel limited by squares and triangles. I feel this is when my art quilting really started to take off.
