​Picnic at Ellis Pond - Best of 2014, Ohio Designer Craftsmen's traveling exhibit, 2014

All of the quilts in my Americana quilt series were based on photos that I took around my home town of Yellow Springs, Ohio.

I mostly used hand-painted fabrics except for the picnic basket and the sunflowers, which were made with three commercial sunflower prints, with small, medium, and large scale images.

Four of these quilts were featured in the Autumn 2019 issue of Art Quilting Studio magazine in a story about using perspective with foreground objects.
